Exposición "AEN-PSM. Una historia de 100 años de salud mental con futuro"
Coincidente con el XXIX Congreso Centenario AEN en Bilbao, la exposición titulada AEN-PSM. Una historia de 100 años de salud mental con futuro estará abierta a todos los asistentes en diferentes espacios del paraninfo. En ella, a través de paneles y fotografías, se recogerá la historia de la AEN-PSM y de la salud mental en España durante el último siglo, complementándose con otra serie de propuestas expositivas de interés histórico (imágenes del manicomio, arte psicopatológico, proyecciones, etc.).
Webinar Women Alcohol and Substance Use Disorder, organizado por la EPA
Con motivo del Día Internacional de la Mujer, la EPA ha organizado un webinar titulado “Women Alcohol and Substance Use Disorder, Including the Perinatal Period”, que tendrá lugar el lunes 10 de marzo.

Nuevo número de la revista Cuadernos de Psiquiatría Comunitaria
Acaba de salir Cuadernos de Psiquiatría Comunitaria (Vol. 21, número 1, 2024). El número está dedicado a “Mujer y Salud Mental” y ha sido compilado por Paz Arias García.
El monográfico se abre con un artículo de la psiquiatra española pionera en el tema del feminismo y la salud mental, Carmen Sáez. La sección Punto crítico está dedicada a “La salud mental a debate”, donde hay artículos de Benedetto Saraceno, María Fuster y José Luis Pedreira. En la sección de “Informes” se presenta la Declaración de Bucarest (2023) sobre el personal sanitario. En la sesión de In memoriam están los obituarios de René González, Ramón García, Tuncho Levav y Teresa Suárez.
Primera edición del Curso “Inmersión literaria”
Estimadas compañeras y compañeros,
Desde la ACPSM-AEN Catalunya nos complace invitaros a participar en el 1er Curso “Inmersión literaria”, que consistirá en cinco encuentros donde poder aproximarnos a través de la literatura a temas de profundidad relacionados con la naturaleza humana y el sufrimiento psíquico.
Para ello, se seguirá la metodología de la inmersión literaria: partiendo de una propuesta bibliográfica para cada sesión, los ponentes harán una exposición y análisis del tema para, a continuación, abrir un diálogo con los asistentes.
El curso estará conducido por nuestros compañeros de la ACPSM-AEN Catalunya, Mar Blanco y Arnau Gisbert, y las personas interesadas podrán asistir de forma presencial o de forma telemática. El curso será gratuito para todas las socias de la ACPSM y de la AEN, y tendrá un coste de 50 euros para personas no socias.

Migration is a global phenomenon, which is not a new fact, it exists as long as human beings. Today, in many countries there is a focus on people with migration and refugee background and it is discussed controversially. At the same time, mental health problems are a major cause of global and societal stress and are a growing public health concern. Migrants and refugees are at risk of receiving poorer quality healthcare due, in part, to racist and discriminatory attitudes, behaviours and policies in the health system. Furthermore, despite fleeing war and conflict; exposure to torture and traumatic events and living with uncertainty; these people are at high-risk of experiencing long-term poor physical and mental health outcomes in their host country. Several studies have highlighted the negative impact of racial discrimination on mental health, particularly in relation to the development of affective, psychotic, and substance use disorders.
Led by Prof. Meryam Schouler-Ocak (Germany), Chair of the EPA Committee on Ethical Issues, this webinar will delve into the complex mental health challenges faced by people with migration and refugee backgrounds in Europe. Prof. Schouler-Ocak, an esteemed expert in this field, will guide the discussion, bringing together leading voices to explore potential solutions, joined by two recognised experts: Prof. Marianne Kastrup and Prof. Dinesh Bhugra.
